trash or treasure?

Do you save everything? Me too. Especially things from our kids when they were little and our grandchildren! Every now and then, I look back at all the pictures, including school pictures by the hundreds, and snapshots of the kids as they were growing up and our family vacations. It’s fun to remember those times, and we can’t bear to part with them. Then I have all the family photos that my mother had, and I have no idea who some of these people are! While I am looking through the old photos I am horrified to come across MY old school pictures! I remember it well, don’t you? Sitting there with that fake smile on your face and that gosh awful hairdo while the other kids are lined up behind you giggling! Of course now, everything is digital. You can have your whole life on one little CD.

Then I have lots of old letters and Christmas and birthday cards that are stuck away for safe keeping. So what do we do with all of these memories from the past? We will just keep them like our mother did, and let our kids decide what to do with them when we are gone! LOL!

I threw away huge green trash bags of stuff like that…and I’ve pared down my own stuff to one or two manageable bins, packed and labeled.
